Apple Launches iPhone 8

Apple Inc. will launch the much-anticipated iPhone 8 in China this week and hopes the number’s auspicious connotations will help turn around its fortunes following more than a year of falling sales. Many are not confident that the new phone will bear well, as it comes with a jaw-dropping price tag of more than US$1,000. “I’ll wait for a drop in price. It’s too expensive,” notes Angie Chen, a Project Manager in China, adding that “It’s a nice number to hear, but there’s no rush.”
