Dubai Food Park has inked a US$367.5 million investment deal with Ningxia Forward Fund Management to build a China-UAE food cluster in the emirate. Dubai Food Park states this deal will “consolidate China’s stake in the burgeoning food industry” and boost bilateral ties. The cluster will span about 4.4 million sq. ft. and will house more than 30 food plants. It will hold meal and packaged food processing, cold chain storage and food packaging areas, among other things. “Through this new synergy, we aspire to cement long-standing relations with China to ensure the sustainable development of both our countries,” states Dubai Holding Chair Abdulla Al Habbai.
