Lotte Mart Resumes Operations

Following signs of improvement in China’s relationship with South Korea, Lotte Mart, an East Asian hypermarket, has reopened its China operations after a two-month-long shutdown. Similarly, Chinese authorities are easing strict restrictions on trips to Korea. For the past two months, Lotte Mart’s China website has said it was under repair, but customers now have full access again. Korean travel agencies hope that Beijing will completely lift its travel ban, but no official statements have yet been made.
