Michigan Governor Visits China

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder may be planning a meeting with Foxconn Technology Group while in China. Snyder has not confirmed these rumors, but stated that his ongoing conversations with Foxconn are “one of the nice reasons to take these trips.” Foxconn recently invested billions of dollars in southeastern Wisconsin and may be open to discuss opportunities for investment in Michigan. The Michigan Economic Development Corp., along with Snyder and a team of delegates, will visit Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shanghai and Hangzhou on a nine-day trip to discuss opportunities for Chinese investment in Michigan, particularly in the automotive and mobility industries.
