Nichii Gakkan, the largest nursing care provider in Japan, plans to open its first senior care center in Beijing within the coming year. The company hopes to capitalize on China’s rapidly ageing population. In the long-run, Nichii Gakkan plans to open 15 more centers in China, including locations in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Nichii Gakkan distinguishes itself from other nursing care providers by offering top-quality service. Staff hired in China, for instance, are sent to Japan for six months to learn how to assist seniors in using the toilet, eating, dressing, bathing and taking medication.
